SDK Event Instrumentation Studio

A six-module studio for teams who need application analytics for SDK event instrumentation to survive real releases — not just demos.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the studio you will leave with artifacts your team can open on Monday morning.

Living event dictionary

A versioned taxonomy with owners, statuses, and retirement dates for deprecated payloads.

Validation hooks

Client and pipeline checks that fail loudly in staging before silent gaps reach production dashboards.

Funnel review ritual

A recurring review format that surfaces sampling limits and known instrumentation debt.

Modules

01 · Signal inventory

Map what you already emit, what product believes exists, and where the two stories diverge.

02 · Event Naming Clinic

Verbs, objects, and context that stay readable after three reorganizations.

03 · Property contracts

Types, null rules, and cross-platform parity checks for Android, iOS, and web SDKs.

04 · Funnel hygiene

Define steps that match user intent, not just screen names that happened to be instrumented.

05 · Sampling & volume

Protect devices and budgets while keeping decision-grade aggregates intact.

06 · Handover & drift reviews

Documentation and rituals so new teammates inherit a system, not a mystery.

FAQ

Do we need a specific analytics vendor?

No. Examples reference common patterns, but you bring your own stack. We stay vendor-neutral on purpose.

Is this suitable for early-stage startups?

Yes if you already ship an SDK or heavily instrumented app. Pure idea-stage teams usually wait until the first production event pipeline exists.

What is a real limitation of this course?

We do not teach deep warehouse modeling or machine learning. If your bottleneck is dbt marts rather than event quality, this studio will feel incomplete — and we will say so before you enroll.

Are sessions recorded?

Live cohorts include recordings for enrolled seats for 90 days. Office hours are not recorded to keep discussion candid.

Learner notes

The Property contracts module forced our iOS and Android leads into the same spreadsheet. Awkward for a week — then the weekly dashboard stopped lying about add-to-cart.

★★★★☆

Clear on naming and reviews. Sampling module moved fast; I rewatched twice. Still worth the seat for the taxonomy templates alone.
